Medical Clearance – Pre-placement health assessment (PPHA)
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance – this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed here. We have a policy on the Employment of Ex-Offenders and it is available upon request.
Casual Car Documentation – The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Team, part of the Complex Services. The role will be based at Hulme Office but as it is a citywide role, you may have to work in other offices. The post holders will work on a hybrid bases and is expected to be in the office at least two days a week.
The post holder will have experience of working in social care and / or immigration with an understanding of relevant social care and / or immigration legislation.

All local authorities are restricted by legislation in what it can provide in terms of assistance and support for families and individual subject to the NRPF condition.
We are a small team of dedicated and experienced practitioners. The post holder is expected to have knowledge (or willing to learn) of applicable legislation, policies and procedures to ensure that those subject to NRPF condition receive a robust assessment with the right intervention at the right time. The post holder will be required to manage a caseload, undertake assessments (including Human Rights Assessment) to ensure effective statutory service support.
The post holder will have a holistic approach to work, with a keen focus on reducing inequalities and supporting citizens and their families to develop their resilience and improve their outcomes towards financial independence.
The post holder must have knowledge and experience of electronic systems to ensure the maintenance of accurate and appropriate records whilst adhering to Data Protection Legislation.
The post holder will be required to work closely and communicate with various stakeholders in health, social care, immigration, voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSE), private sector housing (etc.) to identify and meet citizen needs ensuring any onward referrals are made.

Desirable requirements that would be useful in this role:
Full drivers’ licence with access to a car. The job requires visits to applicants and to different office sites as we are a citywide based team. You will receive the Casual Car User Allowance for use of your car for official travel, but you must hold car business insurance.
