Senior C++ Engineer Full Time NEW

We’re hiring: Low-Latency C++ Engineer — SPEED / Equities Technology

We are helping source strong C++ engineers for Major Hedge Fund. The SPEED team — the Systematic Platform Execution & Exchange Data group supporting high-performance trading and market-data platforms across Equities, Quant Strategies and Shared Services Technology.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building and improving performance-sensitive C++ systems that process large volumes of real-time data.

The work may involve areas such as:

• Low-latency trading infrastructure
• Market data feeds and real-time data processing
• Execution / DMA / OMS-related systems
• Networking, messaging, I/O and performance-sensitive services
• High-throughput analytics or intraday data platforms
• Production-grade C++ engineering in Linux environments

The strongest candidates will have deep practical experience with modern C++, not just surface-level familiarity. We are particularly interested in engineers who are comfortable reasoning about object lifetime, move semantics, memory management, concurrency, cache-aware design, lock-free structures, profiling and production performance.

Relevant backgrounds may include hedge funds, prop trading, exchanges, market-data vendors, execution platforms, telecoms, embedded systems, networking, HPC, robotics, aerospace, semiconductor or other real-time/high-performance environments.

Relevant experience includes:

• Modern C++ — C++17 / C++20
• Linux systems engineering
• Low-latency or high-throughput systems
• Distributed or real-time software
• Networking, messaging or market data
• Debugging, profiling and performance analysis
• CMake, Git, CI/CD and testing frameworks
• Lock-free queues, atomics, memory ordering, cache locality or NUMA
• Market data, FIX, exchange protocols, PCAP, KDB/q, Arrow or time-series platforms — helpful but not essential

This is best suited to practical engineers who like going under the hood, writing reliable production code and solving hard performance problems.
