Our work is guided by five core values – Care, Compassion, Community, Integrity and Excellence – and we are proud of the difference our teams make every day in the lives of residents, colleagues and local communities.We are now looking for a dedicated Deputy Care Home Manager to support the team at Lee House.Role: Deputy Care Home Manager.Location: Lee House, 2 Lancaster Avenue, Wimbledon, London.Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.Pay: £32,814.60 – £34,871.20 per annum.Contract: 37.5 hours per week, with a half an hour unpaid break per day.The Role Of Deputy Care Home ManagerMonitoring the resident’s nutritional and hydration needsStaff trainingDelivering hands-on care when requiredCreate, manage and amend risk assessments, both at a strategic and operational level and to ensure that staff are following proceduresCommunicate on a regular basis with the Manager on events that occurred in their absence and stepping in to cover them where neededEnsure that key information is effectively communicated both within the own staff group and the client as requiredAct as a role model for all staff, demonstrating and ensuring professionalism, good manners, and customer service at all timesReport to management on any items that need repair or maintenance and ensure these are followed upStaff supervision and appraisals.Skills & ExperienceYou’ll need a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role at management or senior level within a registered service.
