As a Data Analyst Assistant at Blue Oak Consulting, you will be the person who helps us get to those truths. This role exists to bridge the gap between high level claims and the hard numbers. You will support our consultants by cleaning raw data sets, identifying trends in customer behavior, and testing whether a client’s assumptions actually hold up under scrutiny. Your work ensures that when we give advice, it is rooted in facts rather than optimistic projections or corporate narratives.

What We Need From You
We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and comfortable with being skeptical. You do not need to have years of professional experience, but you do need to be comfortable working with numbers and basic data tools. You should have a solid grasp of spreadsheet software such as Excel or Google Sheets and the ability to organize messy information into a clear, usable format. Accuracy is critical in this position. A misplaced decimal or a faulty formula can lead to the wrong commercial conclusion, so we need you to be the kind of person who double checks their work because they want to find the right answer.
Beyond technical skills, you must be a clear and direct writer. Since we work in a fully remote environment, much of our collaboration happens through the written word. You should be able to explain what you found in a data set without using filler or vague adjectives. If you see something in the data that looks odd or contradicts what a client has told us, we expect you to raise it. We value people who are more interested in the accuracy of the data than in being polite about an error.
