Role Description
This is a full-time, nightshift Care Assistant role located in Cathcart. The Care Assistant will provide high-quality care and support to clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Daily responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care, mobility support, administering medication as required, and aiding in day-to-day activities such as meal assistance and recreational engagement. Building relationships with clients to promote their independence and wellbeing will be a key focus of this role. The Care Assistant will also maintain records and communicate effectively with the wider care team to ensure the individual needs of each client are met.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and a person-centered approach to care
- Competence in supporting personal care needs and assisting with mobility
- Basic knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality procedures
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of residents
- Previous care experience or relevant training is desirable but not essential
- An SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards obtaining it
