We are presently sourcing for a Market Research & Business Development Professional (UK Expansion & Sponsorship).
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have network connections in the market research industry to lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will strategically plan their approach to clients and offer compelling solutions to cater to client’s needs. He/she is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships to meet sales goals.
Responsibilities:
Market Research Support
- Assist in planning and executing local market research projects
- Conduct desk research, interviews, and surveys to gather relevant market data
- Compile and analyze findings to support business insights and recommendations
- Coordinate with external stakeholders or agencies involved in research activities
Business Development
- Acquire leads and research projects from existing connections and professional firms including consulting, market/industry research firms.
- Conduct and manage objective research on current market trends, the client’s potential partners, the competition landscape, and other related topics to support critical analysis.
- Checks, analyses, and finalizes the output/deliverable from the local team.
- Develop new business opportunities and relationships to grow the business and aid expansion efforts.
- Conduct market research analysis to identify areas of improvement and/or seek new opportunities for growing/expanding work with existing clients.
- Plan strategically while adhering to company and industry regulations to ensure project success ensure smooth operation.
Sponsor Licence Management
- Act as the Authorising Officer (AO) with overall accountability for licence compliance
- Serve as the Key Contact for communication with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI)
- Operate as the Level 1 User on the Sponsor Management System (SMS)
- Maintain and update the SMS, including assigning Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS)
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of migrant worker activity (e.g., changes in employment, absences, terminations)
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to UKVI sponsor guidance and immigration rules
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date right-to-work documentation
- Prepare for and manage UKVI compliance visits
- Identify and mitigate risks related to sponsorship compliance
HR Advisory & Support
- Advise senior management on immigration and right-to-work matters
- Support recruitment processes involving sponsored workers
- Collaborate with hiring team to ensure compliance in onboarding and employment practices
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on sponsor licence responsibilities
- Liaise with local agents, suppliers, and service providers to support operational needs
- Assist with basic administrative functions such as payroll coordination, invoicing, and documentation
- Support compliance processes and ensure smooth day-to-day business setup and maintenance
- Provide ad-hoc support to the headquarters team as and when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Current Permanent Residency in London is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of Market Research or Business Development experience in a market research agency or consultancy firm
- Extroverted and proactive with strong project management and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop clients’ relationships and participate/collaborate in teamwork or group settings
