Full Professor/Associate/Assistant Professor of Chemistry (Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait)
Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait | 2026–2027 Academic Year
Position requires relocation; only candidates unaccompanied by dependents are eligible.
American International University (AIU) in Kuwait is seeking dynamic, student-centered Chemistry faculty to join our School of Arts & Sciences. This is a full-time, on-ground role for individuals excited to teach abroad, contribute to a growing institution, and bring their expertise to a global student body.
What You’ll Do
- Teach a range of Chemistry courses (introductory to advanced, including Organic and Physical Chemistry)
- Deliver engaging instruction with real-world relevance and active learning
- Supervise laboratory instruction, with emphasis on lab safety, chemical handling, and waste management
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and academic advising
- Engage in departmental service and institutional initiatives
- Participate in research or scholarly activities aligned with your area of expertise
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of university-level teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong command of English and effective classroom communication
- Familiarity with tools such as ChemDraw, AMBER, DFTB+, Quantum Espresso is a plus
- Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online environments
- Cultural adaptability and willingness to work with a diverse student population
- Commitment to mentoring, student success, and academic excellence
- Experience supporting English language learners and first-generation students is valued
