Dual Registered Manager – Children’s Residential (EBD)£55,000 – £70,000 + Performance Bonus | 5-bed home | New Service LaunchCrystal House is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the launch of a brand-new 5-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children’s home.This is a rare opportunity to build a service from the ground up with full organisational backing, clear structure, and experienced leadership support throughout, including during registration with Ofsted.We are open to:Experienced Registered Managers seeking a fresh, well-supported launch projectStrong Deputy Managers ready to step into their first Registered Manager roleWhat makes this role differentFull support through Ofsted registration and inspection readinessApproved budget and resourcing for full staffing prior to openingExperienced Responsible Individual providing hands-on operational oversightEstablished referral relationships with local authorities ahead of openingClear therapeutic care model already defined and supportedThis is a service build with structure, not an unsupported startup.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Service DevelopmentLead the full setup and registration of the new children’s homeShape the home’s culture, routines, and therapeutic approachRecruit, develop, and lead a high-performing staff teamEstablish strong leadership presence within the homeRegulatory & ComplianceAct as Registered Manager and lead Ofsted registrationEnsure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality StandardsMaintain inspection readiness at all timesOversee Regulation 44/45 reports and quality assurance systemsCare & SafeguardingAct as Designated Safeguarding LeadEnsure high-quality, child-centred care planning and deliveryPromote emotional wellbeing, stability, and positive outcomes for young peopleOperations & PartnershipsManage budgets and operational performanceOversee admissions, placements, and transitionsBuild strong relationships with social workers, families, and local authoritiesAdvocate effectively for children and young peopleWhat we are looking for:EssentialLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential ChildcareMinimum 5 years’ experience in children’s residential care (Deputy or Registered Manager level)Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality StandardsProven leadership and safeguarding experienceAbility to manage teams and complex situations effectivelyDesirablePrevious experience as an Ofsted Registered ManagerExperience leading or supporting Ofsted inspectionsExperience in EBD or therapeutic residential settings What we offer:£55,000 – £70,000 salary (depending on experience)Performance-related bonus (including Ofsted outcomes and occupancy)Full support through registration and inspection preparationClear career progression as the organisation expandsStrong leadership backing and hands-on operational supportOpportunity to shape a brand-new service from inception
