Willows Academy are looking to appoint a Head of Academy to join us in September 2026 on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Head of Academy, you will be responsible for all aspects of the internal organisation, professional leadership, management, and control of the academy and for leading supervision over teaching and support staff.
Are you looking for a role that will enable you to influence and give direction to the children in your classes? Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
At Willows Academy, we’re committed to helping every child succeed. As a warm and welcoming one-form entry school in the Great Coates area of Grimsby, North Lincolnshire, we teach from Nursery through to Year 6. We’ve invested in our site to be able to offer excellent facilities and resources to support high-quality learning.
We’re proud of our achievements, Ofsted rated us ‘Good’ for the third time in 2024, our Phonics results reached 96% in the academic year 2024-25, and our outcomes remain consistently in line with or above national levels.
We believe what makes us special is the strength of our relationships between staff, pupils, and the community. We offer an excellent personal development curriculum for our pupils known as ‘Delta Stars’ which has been very effective and engaging. Our trips and residentials enrich learning beyond the classroom and are available to all, including to Dallowgill, Delta Academies Trust’s outdoor education centre in North Yorkshire.
Our staff team is supportive, collaborative, and ambitious. We prioritise wellbeing and professional growth, offering wide-ranging CPD opportunities, including apprenticeships. At Willows Academy, you’ll find a rewarding place to work, develop, and make a real difference.
Why join us?
Staff across the trust are talented and enthusiastic, and all contribute to the trust’s success story.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high-performing multi academy trust with exciting career prospects for successful applicants.
