The Information and Knowledge Coordinator will oversee the management and coordination of information systems, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Responsibilities include analyzing data for decision-making, maintaining information systems, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth flow of communication across teams. The role will support the council in delivering efficient, data-driven services to improve outcomes for Leicester’s residents.Purpose of role: Use substantial expertise to manage and coordinate the efficient and effective sharing of information about a variety of topics on a regular and ad-hoc basis to customers and staff. This will involve:· Overseeing and managing the divisional communication plan and developing and implementing the division’s Knowledge and Information (KIM) strategy.· Making appropriate decisions on the format and type of media used to communicate information and ensuring communication standards are met across the division. · Providing detailed advice and guidance to internal staff on communication channels and the most effective methods to use.· Managing and overseeing publications issued by the division including the annual Tenant Report, tenant newsletters, local information and staff publications.· Overseeing the divisional website and the divisions policy and procedure library. · Representing the Council at meetings, committees, through consultation activities, and customer/client management.· Leading negotiations and steering desired outcomes via the agreement of priorities and working arrangements with partner organisations, agencies, and external bodies. · Supporting the development of local plans, strategies, and best practice standards.· Undertaking work associated with new initiatives, changing governing requirements, and service development projects.· Supporting the technical capability growth of the Council through its people, and performance.
