We can promise you rewarding work which makes a real impact, the chance to learn from inspiring colleagues from across a growing, global network and opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
Our competitive package offers a wide range of benefits and rewards.
This role will ideally be based in our Kings Langley office on a hybrid basis.
The position
The Head of Ethics & Compliance will own the design, operation and continuous improvement of RES’ global ethics and compliance framework. This is not a policy-writing role sitting at arm’s length from the business — it is a hands-on, operationally critical position responsible for running the day-to-day machinery of ethics and compliance: triaging cases, owning investigations best practice, driving accountability and ensuring the organisation’s newly launched Global Code of Conduct takes root across every market.
The right person will be a trusted, visible and courageous partner to the business — someone prepared to make difficult calls, give frank advice and escalate concerns when necessary, while always exercising sound judgement and discretion.
Governance & Key Relationships
The role works closely with the Ethics & Compliance Committee (General Counsel, Chief Financial Officer and Chief People & Culture Officer) and partners extensively with Legal, Finance, People & Culture, HSQE and senior leaders across the Group, as well as in-country legal and People & Culture leads.
Accountabilities
Ethics & Compliance Framework
Lead and continuously evolve the global ethics and compliance framework, maintaining a clear roadmap covering processes, systems, training and communications.
Translate the framework into practical, scalable operating models that work across a complex, multi-country organisation.
Identify and prioritise the highest-risk and highest-impact areas, keeping the programme focused and effective.
Global Code of Conduct
Take ownership of the day-to-day implementation of RES’ newly launched Global Code of Conduct — ensuring it moves from launch into genuine, sustained embedding.
Design and run the annual acknowledgement process and targeted training programmes for all employees and leaders.
Develop supporting guidance, toolkits and communication materials that bring the Code to life in practical, accessible ways.
Hold leaders accountable for modelling and enforcing the standards set out in the Code.
Whistleblowing Line & Case Triage
Act as the operational owner of RES’ global Whistleblowing Hotline, ensuring it is well understood, trusted and accessible across all markets.
Define and run the end-to-end triage process for all incoming concerns — whether received via the Whistleblowing Hotline, direct disclosure, People & Culture escalation or other channels — ensuring consistent, timely and appropriately confidential handling.
Determine the correct routing for each case (investigation, People & Culture process, legal advice, or other resolution pathway) and maintain oversight through to closure.
Maintain accurate case records and produce regular reporting for the Ethics & Compliance Committee and, where required, the Group Executive.
Investigations Best Practice
Define and own RES’ global investigations framework — establishing clear standards for how investigations are scoped, conducted, documented and concluded.
Provide expert guidance to those conducting investigations across the business, ensuring consistency, procedural fairness and legal compliance.
Lead or oversee the most complex, sensitive or senior investigations directly, working closely with Finance, Legal and People & Culture.
Ensure investigation outcomes are used to drive systemic learning and process improvement, not just individual resolution.
Country-Specific Compliance Requirements
Identify and map jurisdictions where specific legal or regulatory requirements apply to ethics and compliance programmes, and ensure local processes meet those obligations within the global framework.
Work with in-country legal counsel and People & Culture leads to design and implement compliant local processes that are consistent with — and clearly connected to — the global framework.
Maintain a live register of country-specific obligations and ensure these are reviewed and updated as legislation evolves.
Training & Culture
Design and deliver a global ethics and compliance training programme that goes beyond tick-box completion — building genuine understanding and confidence at all levels.
Equip people managers and senior leaders to apply ethical standards in their day-to-day decisions and to respond appropriately when concerns are raised with them.
Champion a speak-up culture: work visibly to reduce fear of retaliation and build trust in RES’ processes.
