New English Teas (NET) is a highly successful supplier of tea related gifts globally. The last few years have seen our business grow significantly in both B2B and B2C markets worldwide due to the international appeal of our products and designs. Due to our continued growth, we are looking for two new team members to join our sales team and help drive our continued success in International B2B markets.
We are a small dynamic team so fitting in personality and mentality wise is important. We have a ‘can-do’ attitude and everyone in our team has a part to play in our success – from product design through to sales strategy.
Role Description
Reporting to the Sales Director the role will be hybrid-based split between working from home, our Coventry head office and visiting international customers. Your primary focus will be to grow NET sales within our current international account portfolio within a defined territory as well as acquire strategically identified new customers. This work will cross all classifications of our customer sales sectors with a majority being retailers through to distributors, but you will be responsible for identifying and focusing on accounts able to drive a high level of consistent sales.
As well as a proven track record in International sales particularly in the Americas and / or Asia Pacific, you will need to have a high level of understanding of regional customer documentation, compliance requirements and global supply chain processes and build this into the sales process. You will be responsible for product sales from customer facing presentation, selection, range reviews through to monitoring the global supply chain movements of your customer orders liaising throughout with our planning and supply chain team.
You will be responsible for feeding back to the business regional design and product trends as well as product technical compliance requirements for each of your territories to ensure that this is fed into our product design, production and supply chain ultimately ensuring a smooth process for our customers from the range selection process through to delivery.
Your sales activity will be divided between managing a list of present customers and gaining new customers.
Present Customers
We have a vast customer base spanning across a diverse scope of sectors. You will be allocated a list of present accounts and will work with the sales and marketing team to target sales growth within these customers based on published sales plans. These plans will link in with product development plans, and other schemes to boost sales within each sector / retailer.
New Customers
The Key account manager will work with the sales and marketing team to identify a list of prospects in each of the following sectors:
Tourism
Travel
Hampers
Retail
Multiples
Distributor and Wholesale
Exhibitions
You will be required to attend UK and International exhibitions that the company exhibits at in order to meet your current customers and search out new business.
Personal Characteristics and Experience
The successful person must have a track record of delivering on high growth targets in both new business and present customer business development in a B2B environment. International sales experience with an understanding of global / regional supply chain and compliance is essential.
Specific knowledge of selling into the food gifting / gifting market is not essential but advantageous.
The person must be self-motivated, hardworking, capable of self-management, and able to work closely within a small team.
The person must have experience of dealing with different sizes of business from owner operator to multi-national and be able to confidently deal with all levels of stake holders within those organisations.

Location: Hybrid Coventry Office / Home based / Travelling to visit customers.
Salary package: Competitive with pension contributions matched up to 5% and annual Company Bonus up to 20% of salary
