The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role within the corporate tax team, offering responsibility for a diverse client portfolio alongside the opportunity to influence the direction of the department and the wider firm. The successful candidate will lead on complex corporate tax compliance and advisory work, manage and develop a high‑performing team, and play an active role in business development and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
You will lead the delivery of corporate tax services across a varied client base, taking ownership of complex assignments and acting as a trusted adviser to clients. The role involves overseeing corporation tax compliance, providing advanced technical advice and identifying tax planning opportunities aligned with clients’ long‑term objectives.
You will review complex corporate tax cases, ensuring the highest technical standards and compliance with UK legislation, while providing clear, constructive feedback to colleagues. Resource management, budgeting and cross‑department collaboration will form a key part of the role, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
A significant element of the position is people leadership. You will mentor and develop junior and senior team members, support their progression, and contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing. Hall Morrice places strong emphasis on creating a supportive, inclusive and high‑performing environment.
You will also contribute to innovation and continuous improvement, particularly around technology‑enabled compliance processes, and play an active role in business development, networking and raising the firm’s profile in the market.
Experience Required
The firm is seeking a CTA‑qualified (or equivalent) corporate tax professional with significant experience in complex compliance and advisory work. You will have strong technical expertise, proven review capability, and prior experience managing and developing people. Commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted client relationships are essential.
