Senior Engine Remanufacturer and Engine Builder Full Time

We are seeking a Senior Engine Builder and Engine Remanufacturing Specialist to join our in-house engineering team, working on the restoration, remanufacture, and development of classic Aston Martin engines.

This role involves the complete build and assembly of engines from initial inspection and measurement through to final assembly, testing, and installation, supporting both concours-level restorations and our ongoing performance engine programmes.

The Role

• Full engine strip, inspection, and assessment
• Precision measurement of all components and clearancing
• Engine remanufacturing and assembly from bare block through to complete unit
• Blueprinting and building engines to exacting standards
• Working closely with the machining department on component preparation
• Diagnosing wear, faults, and previous build issues
• Supporting dyno preparation and run-in processes

Development & Progression

This role sits at the heart of our engineering operation and offers the opportunity to be involved in:

• High-performance and uprated engine builds, including our in-house development programmes
• Collaboration with CNC machining and design teams on component development
• Exposure to flow bench testing and cylinder head development
• Working alongside highly skilled engineers and craftsmen, with continuous learning and development

This is a role for someone who wants to build exceptional engines, not simply assemble parts.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid, hands-on engine building experience is essential
• Proven experience building engines from bare block to complete unit
• Strong understanding of tolerances, clearances, and measurement techniques
• High level of mechanical sympathy and attention to detail
• Ability to diagnose issues and think critically about engine performance and reliability
• A methodical, organised, and quality-driven approach

Highly desirable:

• Experience with classic or heritage engines
• Performance or motorsport engine build experience
• Familiarity with straight-six and V8 engine architecture
• Experience working alongside machining processes
