Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative/Picker-Packer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves handling materials, preparing orders for dispatch, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth logistics and stock management within our busy warehouse environment. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders following specified guidelines
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting when required
• Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery (training provided)
• Manage stock levels through regular stocking and inventory checks
• Use warehouse management systems to track goods and update records
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
• Support the overall flow of goods within the warehouse to meet dispatch deadlines

Experience

• Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
• Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is desirable
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and stock control is beneficial
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery will be considered an asset
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and quality control tasks
