This includes procurement of goods and services and the requisition of goods from the National Distribution Centre and external suppliers, from where goods are supplied then distributed to theatres, wards and departments.The department provides a professional supplies service to all GG&C premises.The department provides professional advice to Directorate management on procurement matters, including financial control information to budget holders, management and administration of equipment contracts.Procurement of GG&C major equipment programme in compliance with SFI’s and EC Directives.Duration, Location, and Working Pattern: This is a fixed-term post for 12 monthsYou will be working full-time hours (36). Day shift – Monday- Tuesday 08:00 – 16:00, Wednesday – Friday 08:00 – 15.30pm-Friday , including Public Holidays This post will be based at Royal Alexandra Hospital.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Ward Product Management role supports the Local Site Manager in the day-to-day operation of services within one of the operational warehouses or receiving centres serving GG&C. You will be responsible for ensuring that stores are run in a highly efficient and professional manner, with all goods receipted, stored, and distributed in line with best practice and to meet end user requirements.A key focus of the role is to ensure that the policies of the Stores and Logistics Department are fully implemented, maximising the efficient use of resources while maintaining accurate and timely computerised and manual records. You will assist in updating GG&C procurement systems with all stock and non-stock transactional information, including goods received notes (GRNs), returns, and issues, while also undertaking data input and general clerical duties within the team.The role involves providing regular information to the Multi Site Manager or Deputy Manager to ensure stock levels are maintained at agreed levels, as well as supporting the Stores Manager or Deputy Manager with information to monitor user enquiries and identify strengths or weaknesses in supply chain performance. Monitoring and adhering to quality standards and departmental performance criteria, including key performance indicators, is an important part of the position.Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH, safe systems of work, and accident reporting procedures, is essential.
