II. Position Overview
The Vice President of Healthcare Operations is responsible for formulating and executing the organization’s overall operational strategy, ensuring the efficiency and regulatory compliance of healthcare services, as well as the continuous optimization of the patient experience. This role requires striking a balance between cost control, quality improvement, and process optimization, while simultaneously driving the organization’s scalability and refined management practices. III. Core Responsibilities
Formulate and execute healthcare operations strategies to support the company’s overall business objectives and growth plans.
Oversee the daily operations of hospitals and clinics, ensuring high service quality and operational efficiency.
Drive the optimization of clinical and non-clinical processes to enhance resource utilization.
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve operational performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from bodies such as the Joint Commission and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Optimize the patient experience and service workflows to increase patient satisfaction and retention rates.
Collaborate with departments such as Medical Affairs, Finance, and Human Resources to foster cross-functional synergy.
Lead multi-site operational management, supporting expansion and integration initiatives.
Drive digital transformation initiatives, such as the optimization of Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems.
Control operational costs to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Manage and develop the operations management team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Support Post-Merger Integration (PMI) processes and the launch of new business initiatives.
Participate in budget formulation, financial analysis, and long-term strategic planning.
IV. Job Requirements
1. Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration.
Master’s degree (e.g., MHA, MBA) is preferred.
2. Work Experience
20+ years of experience in healthcare operations management.
At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role (Director/VP level).
Experience managing a hospital group or a chain of healthcare facilities is preferred.
3. Professional Competencies
Familiarity with the U.S. healthcare system and payment mechanisms (Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance).
Deep understanding of healthcare quality management and compliance frameworks.
Excellent data analysis and operational optimization skills.
Experience with Lean Management and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
