Role Description

This is a contract-based hybrid role as a VBS4 Engineer, located in Congleton with the option for some remote work. The VBS4 Engineer will manage and develop virtual training and simulation environments using VBS4, ensuring high-quality scenarios tailored for defense applications. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining custom scripts, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with clients to meet training needs. The role will involve contributing to solution strategies, integrating VBS4 with other systems, and ensuring seamless performance and functionality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with VBS simulation platforms, particularly VBS4 and associated scripting tools.
• Experience in software development, programming languages, and an understanding of simulation architecture.
• Strong skills in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues related to simulation environments.
• Proven ability to engage with clients, gather requirements, and develop customized and efficient simulation training solutions.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
• Familiarity with UK defense standards and protocols is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
