We’re looking for an experienced tutor to join our team and support the centre with Team Leader responsibilities when the supervisor and manager are not present.

As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by
Delivering lessons that last Using our smart learning tool, Compass, you’ll deliver tailored sessions where you facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.
Building meaningful relationships With a 16 ratio, you’ll get to know each child and create a safe, inspiring environment where they can take risks and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Driving academic progress Support members as they work through the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes along the way.

Ensure our members are safe you will ensure you are vigilant to any safeguarding concerns and keep the children in your care safe. You will be trusted to open and close the centre.

Location This is an on-site role and you will be based at our Cardiff Thornhill centre.
Contract This is a permanent, part-time role. You will be contracted to work a minimum of 6 hours a week over at least 2 different days.

330-4pm Friday
Morning/afternoon Saturday
Please note This is not a summer-only role; we are seeking dedicated tutors to support our members throughout the next academic year and beyond.
Pay Rates & Progression
Earn more as you progress! You will start on the base rate for your age group, with an annual opportunity to increase your pay based on the number of hours you have tutored for us.
Base Hourly Rate
18-20 £10.90
21+ £12.75
When performing the additional team leader responsibilities mentioned, your hourly pay will be increased by £2.
Requirements You must be age 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK. You must have achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent (we accept predicted GCSE grades if you will be receiving your results within the next 3 months).
