Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and well‑organised individual to join our Catering Services Central Team. This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is confident using ICT, and is keen to develop strong administrative and customer service skills within a busy and diverse service area.

In this varied role, you will support Central Officers in administering, monitoring, and delivering key functions that underpin the Community and School Meals Service across Rhondda Cynon Taf. You will assist with day‑to‑day administrative tasks, respond to enquiries from headteachers, parents, catering staff, and school governors, and help maintain the digital platforms used within the service. The role also involves supporting the auditing of school cleanliness and monitoring cleaning contracts, important activities that contribute to the safety and wellbeing of pupils and staff.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is willing to learn, takes pride in their work, and can contribute positively to a supportive team. This is a varied and rewarding role with opportunities to gain experience across different aspects of the service.

You will work between our Central Office and our Community base in Ynyshir, Porth, offering a valuable insight into both operational and administrative functions.

What Will You Study?

All Apprentices will be supported to complete a Level 3 Business and Administration qualification.

What will you be paid?

This Is a Fixed Term Post For a Two-year Period, Starting In September 2026. You Will Be Paid National Minimum Wage Dependent On Age

• 18 – 20 £10.85
• Under 18 £8.00

Important Eligibility Information

Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, we are unable to accept applications from anyone who has already achieved a similar qualification at Level 3 or above in the subject area of the apprenticeship they are applying for.

For Example

If you hold a degree in Civil Engineering, you would not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship. However, you would still be welcome to apply for any other apprenticeship pathway.Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered.
