Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Technology Business Support Officer to join our Technology Team.
The post holder will report directly to the directorate’s Executive Assistant and will provide effective and efficient business support service for the senior leadership team within the directorate.
As the Business Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that effective end-to-end secretariat support for a number of Technology led meetings is provided by coordinating meetings and actions and ensuring governance requirements are met through the preparation of board and committee papers.
You will work flexibly to cover various areas of wider responsibility to provide efficient, effective and flexible administrative support to the Technology senior leadership team and will actively contribute to the work of the wider team. You will be highly organised and proactive with the ability to work confidently under pressure, managing competing priorities and deadlines. There will be the opportunity to identify how to do things differently as we search for continuous improvement in how we work.

Application And Shortlisting
The selection panel will assess your application based on your evidence you have provided against the essential criteria as set out in the person specification.
You will also be asked to provide information within the “Employer/Activity History” section of the application form. This information is equivalent to the information you would provide on a CV setting out your career history (this may be used in the sifting process).
Assessment And Interview
Candidates who pass the benchmark at the shortlisting stage will be invited to an assessment and interview where they will be assessed against a mixture of the Civil Service behaviours and the experience/technical skills set out in section 3 of the job specification.
We will invite the most suitable candidates to attend an assessment and interview via Microsoft Teams on week commencing on Monday 8 June 2026.
