As a Specification Technologist, you will uphold our commitment to product quality, safety, and customer satisfactionSkills and Experience requiredProven experience as a Specification Technologist or similar role in the food industryAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks efficientlyProficient in using specification databases and related software with excellent IT SkillsAbility to manage workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAccuracy and attention to detailsKey DutiesUpdate and maintain detailed product specifications to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and internal standardsValidate product labels to ensure they accurately reflect specifications and comply with labelling regulations and legal requirementsMonitor food safety alerts, conduct horizon scanning, and take necessary corrective actionsStay informed on changes in food legislation and proactively adjust specifications and processes to maintain complianceProvide technical support to customers regarding product specifications, allergens, and compliance issuesCollaborate with Sales, Operations, and Technical teams to gather necessary inputs and align on specification requirementsAddress discrepancies or non-conformance issues in product specifications and implement corrective actionsUndertake ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned
