Reading Bakery Systems (RBS) is hiring an experienced Technical Writer to support highly customized, engineered-to-order industrial equipment used by leading global food manufacturers.

If you enjoy working directly with engineers, understanding how machines actually work, and creating documentation that customers rely on to operate complex systems—this role is built for you.

In this role, you will:

• Create and maintain technical manuals for industrial bakery equipment

• Turn complex mechanical and process systems into clear, usable documentation

• Support full documentation packages tied to customer orders

• Own and organize project risk assessment documentation

• Maintain compliance documentation (OSHA, ANSI, CE, CSA, etc.)

• Develop visuals, animations, and training content (including video)

• Support internal and customer-facing training materials

You should have:

• 3–5 years of technical writing experience in manufacturing or engineered equipment

• Experience documenting mechanical or electro-mechanical systems (not software-only)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics

• Experience working directly with engineers and technical teams

• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (OSHA, ANSI, CE, CSA)

• Ability to work on-site in Robesonia, PA

Nice to have:

• Experience with 3D modeling or animation tools

• Background in industrial equipment or food processing

• Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred) or technical associate degree

• Experience creating video or multimedia training content

• Experience in a project-based manufacturing environment
