Teaching Assistant Level 3 Full Time

We are seeking a reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Deliverer to support teaching and learning across our Specialist Educational Needs (SEN) college for students aged 11-19. You will step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity of education when teaching staff are absent.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and can confidently manage a classroom while supporting diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and key stages (11-19 age group)
• Maintain a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Encourage engagement, participation and positive learning outcomes
• Report any issues or concerns to senior staff promptly
• Provide basic learning support where needed during lessons

About You

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching or similar)
• Is confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting
• Is patient, resilient, and adaptable
• Has a calm and positive approach to behaviour management
• Can follow lesson plans and instructions accurately
• Understands or is willing to learn about SEN strategies and inclusive education

Essential

• Experience working in SEN settings or with children aged 11-19
• Teaching assistant, cover supervisor or classroom support experience
• Relevant education or childcare qualifications

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2024) guidance and safer recruitment standards. Overseas police checks may be required where applicable.
