Accountabilities

• Act as the primary subject matter expert for German tax regulations related to financial products, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Translate complex tax legislation into clear requirements for product and engineering teams, supporting system design and implementation
• Contribute to the development and testing of tax calculation engines and reporting functionalities
• Support expansion into additional European markets by researching and integrating local tax frameworks
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on product features and operational processes
• Optimize and automate tax-related workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
• Serve as a key point of contact for tax authorities and coordinate with external advisors and compliance partners

Requirements

• 4-7+ years of experience in tax advisory, capital markets taxation, or fintech/brokerage operations
• Strong expertise in German tax law, particularly regarding financial instruments and withholding models
• Ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, or operations teams
• Fluency in English and native or near-native proficiency in German
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Relevant degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Law
