North East Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC)
The North East Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC) is revolutionising construction training, combining green, digital, modern, and traditional skills to develop a high-skilled workforce across the region.
Led by Sunderland College and based at the Housing Innovation and Construction Skills Academy (HICSA), the North East CTEC brings together further education colleges, universities, independent training organisations, schools, employers and key stakeholders to boost training, raise industry standards, address skills shortages, and drive economic growth. Backed by a £100 million national investment, the CTECs aim to train 40,000 skilled workers by 2029 — building 1.5 million homes and vital infrastructure.

The North East CTEC has ambitious plans for year 2- 4 delivery and impact, supporting Further Education providers across the North East to improve the quality of provision inline with industry needs and support students into positive destinations. About The Role
The Stakeholder Engagement and Social Manager will implement a region wide Social Value Framework to be utilised by Further Education Providers and construction businesses across the region. The role will be key to establishing strategic partnerships between industry and education aligned to the objectives of the CTEC, developing new initiatives to enhance learner experience and supporting businesses to achieve their social value commitments.
