Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Special Educational Needs Assistant (SEN Assistant) located in Putney, London. The SEN Assistant will provide direct support to students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning plans and one-on-one assistance where needed. The role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, encouraging the development of independent skills, and supporting the emotional and social needs of students. Additional responsibilities may include behavior management, maintaining student records, and communicating progress to teachers and parents.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with children with special educational needs and providing support tailored to individual learning requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and students.
• Knowledge and understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting emotional well-being.
• Organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs).
