Service and Maintenance Engineer Full Time NEW

Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer capable of carrying out GOLD standard fire safety services?

We are looking for skilled Fire Service and Maintenance Engineers to join our successful, market-leading team.

Focusing on the delivery of PPM Servicing, the role will include repairing fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures/ requirements. You will be working in a different environment every day, across a variety of locations throughout the London Area. We trust our engineers to be the face of our business and to deliver exceptional customer service as well as GOLD standard fire safety services.

• A flexible approach to work with participation in an out of hours call out rota
• A full UK Driving License
• Previous Fire Alarm Experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
• FIA training (or equivalent required) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals
• Understanding of BS5839 – in particular, part one and part 6
• A good level of IT literacy with good communication skills both verbal and written
• An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace
• Commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace
• Exponent of collaborative working with a commitment to get the job done
• Fire service experience is desirable

YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO

• Pursue ‘Great, not Good’ in fire safety services
• Be accountable for the quality system and customer service
• Service, maintain and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) in accordance with the relevant British Standards
• Accurately complete engineer service reports
• Report deficiencies or deviations in fire systems
• Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the procurement department to keep replenished and appropriately stocked
• Have a Health & Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly
• Complete a first fix where possible

QUALIFICATIONS

• FIA training (or equivalent required) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals

JOB SPECIFICS

The role is full-time, and we are offering a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum (subject to skills, qualifications and track record).

This position will be based in the London Area with travel required to attend different sites. A full UK Driving License will be essential, and a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
