The Senior Transport Planner – London role, based in the City Of London, is a full-time position with a salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 plus benefits and bonus. A leading independent Transport Planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Transport Planner to join its growing London team.This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s most respected transport planning consultancies, working on a wide variety of residential, mixed-use, commercial, education and strategic development projects across London and the South East.The business has an excellent reputation within the development planning sector and continues to secure major commissions from national housebuilders, developers, land promoters and public sector clients. Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, they are looking to strengthen the London office with an experienced Senior Transport Planner.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing transport planning projects from inception through to planning submission, working closely with clients, local authorities, architects and multidisciplinary consultant teams.Key responsibilities include:
Preparing Transport Assessments and Transport StatementsProducing Travel Plans and supporting planning applicationsUndertaking site appraisals and development feasibility studiesManaging project programmes, budgets and deliverablesClient liaison and stakeholder engagementReviewing and interpreting transport dataCoordinating junior team members and supporting their developmentWorking alongside developers, architects and planning consultants on major development projects
Requirements
Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related disciplinePrevious consultancy experience within transport planningStrong understanding of development planning and the planning processExperience producing Transport Assessments and Transport StatementsStrong report writing and communication skillsExperience using TRICS and other industry-standard softwareAbility to manage projects and communicate directly with clients
Desirable
LinSig, ARCADY and PICADY experienceTPP qualified or working towards TPPExperience mentoring junior plannersDevelopment planning consultancy background
