Senior Systems Engineer – relocate to live and work in Bermuda!

For more than 30 years, our client has delivered cutting-edge IT solutions, managed services, infrastructure, and cybersecurity expertise to businesses across Bermuda. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, they specialise in modern Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies, helping clients operate secure, reliable, and efficient IT environments.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join their Bermuda-based team. This is a hands-on, technically broad role spanning infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments. The successful candidate will support and evolve client systems, lead infrastructure projects, and take ownership of key networking initiatives across client environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain client IT environments across on-premises and cloud platforms
• Take ownership of networking across client environments, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls
• Deploy and support Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions, including Exchange Online, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Intune, SharePoint, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, and technical improvements
• Act as a senior escalation point for the service desk
• Maintain technical documentation and provide proactive client recommendations
• Participate in an on-call support rotation

We Are Looking For:

This role will suit an experienced, well-rounded IT engineer with strong infrastructure and networking experience across the technologies listed above. Previous experience within an MSP or multi-client environment—particularly in a client-facing capacity—would be highly advantageous.

Industry certifications are valued, including:

• Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft 365 certifications
• Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking qualifications
• Additional certifications across areas such as Security, VMware, Veeam, or Fortinet

Relocation & Compensation:

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hamilton, Bermuda. As the role involves international relocation, preference will be given to candidates who can transition smoothly and are genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to live and work in Bermuda.

Our client offers a competitive USD-based compensation package that reflects Bermuda’s market conditions as well as the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Bermuda is a low-tax jurisdiction, with effective employee payroll tax typically in the ~6–9% range depending on income.
