We are currently looking for a Senior Site Engineer – Civil to join our UK team, within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division of Metlen Energy & Metals. This is a UK-wide search, and we welcome applications from suitable candidates based across the country.

About the role
This is a key on-site role where you’ll take ownership of civil works delivery on major energy projects. As a Senior Site Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of construction activity—coordinating teams, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving progress on critical infrastructure that supports the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors on site

• Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

• Review and interpret construction drawings and technical plans

• Enforce site safety procedures and promote a strong HSE culture

• Carry out inspections and quality control checks

• Report progress, risks, and issues to project management

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• 6+ years’ experience in construction, ideally within energy or industrial projects

• Proven experience supervising subcontractors on site

• Strong understanding of construction processes and site coordination

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
