TPF Recruitment are recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to work as part of the Accounts team of a fantastic Top tier firm of chartered accountancy practice based in Maidstone. Our client is a well established, multi partner and relaxed firm of chartered accountants who operate in a general practice capacity, providing their clients with a wide array of services across accounts, tax, audit, bookkeeping, VAT, Payroll etc.
Our client is one of the biggest accounting firms in the whole of the UK. They offer an amazing salary and benefits package, as well as flexible and hybrid working in Maidstone, with parking. Their clients are made up of sole traders, ltd companies and LLPs, across a mix of sectors and industries. The remit of the position can be built around the applicants experience and aspirations but you will mainly be responsible for:
- Preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies and larger groups.
- Preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts including posting journals of accruals, prepayments, depreciation.
- Maintenance of client’s accounting records and reconciliations including bookkeeping, processing of client data and dealing with queries. Preparation of VAT returns.
- Preparation of self assessment tax returns.
- Preparation of corporate tax returns.
Requirements
- ACCA/ACA qualified/or part-qualified if Semi-Senior level, or qualified, or qualified by experience if Senior Level.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
- Good level of knowledge of accounting standards essential
- Experience of cloud accounting software essential

Requirements
You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senior or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
