To ensure all payments and reports are completed accurately, compliantly and within deadlines. To drive process innovation, project delivery and enhancements to team controls. To work collaboratively with all other business areas to include the Group Treasury, Finance, Product Management, Technology and Compliance.Role ResponsibilitiesPayment OperationsEnsure all payments are completed accurately, compliantly and on-time. Investigate payment issues to resolution, engaging banking partners and clients impactedPayment specialist for formatting and industry best practiceProcess client payments via SWIFT, Fedwire Create payment templates and process test payments for new clientsEnsure deals are accurately processed within internal payment systemsFIG BusinessProvide exceptional service to the FIG business in sales, dealing and logisticsCollaborate and add value to the successful operation of the businessUndertake business critical reporting Management Federal Reserve AccountPrefund and Defund the Federal Reserve AccountMonitor FED account for incoming Federal Reserve depositsBalance manage the FED account to ensure compliance with Federal Reserve policiesReporting & ReconciliationsPerform intraday and business close account balancing and submit critical reporting to Group TreasuryUndertake daily funding forecasting and ensure sufficient payment liquidityPerform bank reconciliationsReport and resolve unsettled client transactionsCreate excel reporting using formulas, links, macrosSenior ResponsibilitiesFirst escalation point for FIG Payment OperationsTeam Leader responsibilities to cover team management absenceLead team trainingLead interdepartmental meetingsEnsure live procedure documentation for team processesOperational ExcellenceDrive team innovation to continually improve processesUndertake projectsEnhance team controlsMitigate operational risk What We’re Looking ForKnowledge and Experience:Experience in operations, working in a deadline orientated and fast paced environmentExperience in collaboration and adding value to the business supportedExperience in delivering change to improve processes and reduce operational riskExperience in training and supporting junior team membersKnowledge of SWIFT payments advantageousSkills and Competencies:High level of accuracy, well organised and articulateThe ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentGood organisational and prioritisation skillsExcellent communication, both written and verbalAbility to build relationships with people at varying levels of seniorityAbility to automate excel processes using formulas, links and macrosThis position is full-time, permanent. The role is expected to be office-based in London as part of the FIG Payment Operations Team.
