Location: London, UKHybridAbout The PositionThe Senior Nutritionist independently delivers defined nutrition workstreams, translating nutrition science into standards, insights, and guidance that support product development, portfolio management, and communication. Operating under general supervision, this role applies scientific judgement, manages nutrition analyses, and ensures the consistent application of nutrition standards within the local market. You will play a key role in activating locally all materials developed by the Nutrition Centre of Excellence, including evidence-based communication initiatives, while supporting Healthcare Professional (HCP) programmes and strengthening knowledge quality, governance, and execution discipline.You WillActivate global nutrition strategies within the local market for both healthcare professionals and consumers, supporting priority nutrition areas such as heart health, cholesterol management, plant sterols, healthy fats, plant-based nutrition, and nutrient densityApply scientific judgement, manage nutrition analyses, and ensure the consistent application of nutrition standards across the local market in collaboration with the Central Nutrition teamAdvise Local Brand and Marketing teams on nutrition substantiation, claims support, and communication considerations, including local language adaptation where relevantDeploy global nutrition communication toolkits locally to ensure accurate, compliant, and consistent nutrition messaging and claimsBuild nutrition capability within local teams through training, educational resources, and scientific supportMonitor changes in local statutory and voluntary nutrition requirements and support the development of mitigation actions and necessary updatesCoordinate nutrition science inputs with external experts and partners within defined guidelines and scopeSupport execution of Healthcare Professional programmes by preparing scientific content, evidence summaries, and technical responses within agreed frameworksProvide local nutrition insights and support nutrition claim transcreation for the Central Nutrition teamTranslate complex nutrition evidence into practical implications for products and portfolio decisions within the local marketAct as a trusted nutrition business partner across multidisciplinary teams including R&D, Marketing, and CommunicationsClearly communicate nutrition evidence, trade-offs, and implications to both nutrition and non-nutrition stakeholdersMonitor local nutrition trends, consumer concerns, competitor activities, and emerging scientific topics, and provide insights to the global nutrition teamSo what does it take to be successful in this role?You have a Master’s degree in Nutrition, are a Registered Dietitian, or hold a related qualification in a nutrition field. You bring 7 to 10 years of experience in scientific, clinical, or applied nutrition roles, with practical experience in applied nutrition science or related areas, ideally gained within an FMCG environment. You demonstrate strong capabilities in nutrition data analysis, nutrition standards application, and portfolio benchmarking, along with a solid understanding of nutrition labelling, claims frameworks, and regulatory drivers. You have an intermediate to advanced understanding of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, labelling systems, and nutrition scoring approaches. You are able to engage effectively with Healthcare Professionals and expert partners, translating nutrition evidence into clear and credible messages.
