Senior Market Reporter Full Time NEW

Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Market Reporter to lead daily coverage of global tree nut markets. You will own a portfolio of markets end-to-end: building and maintaining source networks, gathering price data and intelligence, and producing weekly assessments and market commentaries. You will be an expert at leveraging AI to amplify your productivity, and will bring a track record of producing authoritative commodity market coverage.

Business: Stratamarkets is a growing Price Reporting Agency (PRA) dedicated to enhancing price transparency in global food commodity markets, starting with tree nuts. Our clients rely on us for accurate, proprietary price data to inform trade, pricing negotiations, contract settlement, and strategic decisions. Now in our sixth year, we operate fully remotely with core team members in the US, UK, and the Philippines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•      Gather and report prices and market intelligence: You will actively engage with global market participants daily via phone, messaging platforms, and email to gather prices and market intelligence. This is the core of the role.

•      Source development: You will design and execute source development strategies to expand coverage breadth and depth across your markets, with a particular focus on European and international counterparts.

•      Write market reports: You will produce authoritative weekly market summaries for a professional, analytically minded audience, with detailed analysis of supply and demand dynamics driving price movements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•      Minimum three to five years of reporting experience at a Price Reporting Agency (PRA).

•      Deep knowledge of commodity markets, ideally including agricultural or food commodity sectors.

•      Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with demonstrable success developing source networks.

•      Exceptional written English — clear, precise, and publication-ready under deadline.

•      Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.

•      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

•      Right to work in the UK.

AI COMPETENCIES

•      Demonstrated ability to use AI as a day-to-day work partner for research, writing, analysis, and workflow automation.

•      Skill in applying AI to accelerate learning and compress the time to expertise in new markets.

•      Capacity to apply AI for analytical reasoning: spotting patterns, testing scenarios, and identifying anomalies in data.
