And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.Job SummaryIn this role, you will create, modify and verify CAM programs, whilst supporting CAD activity, for the manufacture and repair of elastomer & plastic moulds, press-tools and other tooling components.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCreation, modification and verification of 3, 4 & 5-axis programs and supporting information, for a range of processes, machine tools and CNC control programming languagesPreparation, issuing and control of detailed 2D drawings, 3D models and associated production documentation in accordance with global industry standards and expectationsUtilise and support CNC machine tool networkCreate and control processes in order to accurately convey drawing and production information to all other departmentsPrepare and collate job packs to distribute to other departmentsRecord construction information and feedback from production for quality purposes, process development and resolve issues and prevent future occurrencesComply with all corporate and local site Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and regulationsInterface with and provide technical support to Global Design team and site production staffComply with all machine instructions and ensure proper use of equipment and assetsComply with all process work instructions, control plans, maintenance and safety schedulesAct in accordance with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Guiding PrinciplesReport any near miss accidents, incidents or HSE irregularities and prevent future occurrencesCarry out HSE and Workplace InspectionsEnsure that your work area(s) are always kept clean and tidyEnsure your PPE is used and maintained correctlyDemonstrate and use a proactive mindset in order to actively develop processes to increase automation and utilization of equipmentDevelop programs to ensure maximum machine efficiency through the use of machine automationEducationRequired: Formal engineering apprenticeship to NVQ3 level/City and Guilds or equivalent relevant work experienceDesirable: Higher National Certificate in Engineering DisciplineWork ExperienceMinimum 3 years of relevant experience. Prior manufacturing experience in an industrial setting requiredExperience using SolidWorks requiredPharmaceutical industry experience is desirableRequiredPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience in CAM programming for CNC Milling machines (3, 4 & 5-axis)Extensive experience in 2D & 3D CAD software and drawing/design activitiesExtensive experience of use of measuring equipmentExtensive experience of interpreting Engineering drawingsExperience of modern cutting tools and techniquesExperience in conventional toolroom machinery (mills, lathes, surface grinders)Experienced and conversant PC useDesirable:Experience in CAM programming for CNC Lathes, Grinders, EDM and WEDMExperience in CADCAM applications and support applicationsSolidWorksEdgeCAMAutoCADVericutPDMProExperience in programming, setting & operation of CNC machinesIncl.
