We are looking for a talented Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Mission, where you’ll take technical ownership of how we model, transform, and activate data at scale. For more information on our tech stack check out our 2026 Tech Radar, how we work is summarised in our Engineering Principles and we have many other Tech Blogs on Medium.What you will be doing:Taking technical ownership of large data initiatives, leading delivery end-to-end across multiple components, stakeholders, and delivery phasesSetting and upholding best practice standards for analytics engineering across our entire data model, from data modelling conventions and dbt patterns to testing, documentation, and observability, and ensuring these standards are understood and applied consistentlyLeading data model design discussions and shaping architectural direction, including designing new schemas from the ground up with best practices and end-user utility in mindShaping how we use SQL, dbt, Databricks, and AI at scale — advising on complex or high-risk transformations and contributing to tooling and architectural directionBringing a system-level perspective on lineage, workflows, and observability, ensuring the organisation can reason clearly about data flows, dependencies, and accountabilityCoaching and mentoring engineers across the team, building capability through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharingCollaborating with Platform and Data Science teams to define requirements for new data products and troubleshoot upstream data issuesSkills we’d love you to have:You are an expert in SQL and dbt, and you apply this to design and build robust, scalable data transformations on platforms like DatabricksYou have strong experience with data modelling concepts and frameworks (e.g. Kimball) and have led architectural design discussionsYou can set and communicate engineering standards — you’re the person others come to for guidance on how things should be builtYou have experience diagnosing and resolving complex production issues, and you design pipelines with testing, monitoring, and maintainability in mindYou have a system-level view of data: you think about lineage, dependencies, and how changes ripple through a platformYou bring others along with you — through mentoring, documentation, and clear technical communication with both engineers and non-technical stakeholdersYou have experience with orchestration tooling (e.g. Databricks Workflows) and understand how data products are operationalised end-to-endFamiliarity with data activation tools (e.g. Hightouch) or streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka) is a bonusWhy ClearScore?ClearScore is the UK’s #1 credit score and report app. We are also present in South Africa, Australia and Canada, with more than 20 million users globally and growing fast.
