We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive individual to lead and develop the administration for the SEN team. Our SEN Administrators (2 roles) support our SEND department in contributing to all aspects of the team’s functions, including coordinating the Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) review process and ensuring all associated tasks are completed to a high standard and within statutory deadlines. In addition, this varied general role involves first-line triage for SEND communications across multiple channels, managing communications with families, professionals and local authorities, production and management of documentation and records, maintaining accurate records and cost-mapping, typing reports and correspondence, coordination of diary and logistics, and supporting the SENCO/Deputy SENCO with administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage their workload independently and work effectively under pressure. Experience working with young people, particularly those who may display challenging behaviour or have social and emotional needs, would be advantageous, together with a good understanding of the education system. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability are also essential.
Working hours:
37 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday, 8.30am – 4.00pm Friday (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Term-time only plus 8 Professional Development Days Salary:
Salary: Scale 4, SCP 7–11 (dependent on skills and experience)
£26,403 – £28,142 FTE. £22,680 – £24,173 actual salary (pro-rata)
