We are recruiting for a full-time permanent Band 5 Respiratory Physiologist. You will be able to perform routine pulmonary function tests such as FeNO, Spirometry (and assess bronchodilator response) Gas Transfer, Body Plethysmography, 6 minute walking test, and muscle function (MIPS, MEPS, SNIP, Postural spirometry). Interpretation of some or all of these tests is desirable, but not essential. As the successful applicant you will complete in-house Band 5 competencies, in addition to relevant external qualification(s) to be nationally accredited, and register on voluntary professional registers (Academy of Healthcare Science). This is your opportunity to progress your career within the Respiratory Physiology field.Applicants will have a special interest in Respiratory Medicine/Lung Function Testing. You may already be ARTP accredited, or currently completing this process, but you must be willing to work towards this. You will need to travel independently in order to work across 2 sites; at both Southampton General Hospital and The Royal South Hants Hospital- which is the base for our Community Diagnostic Centre.If you are driven, proactive, hardworking and enjoy working as part of a team this is the role for you.
