Role
Greenlight Re is seeking to appoint an Reporting and Data Analyst to manage the technical accounting and bordereaux administration process for the UK Operations. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end bordereaux validation, payment, and data processing, support business decisions and drive operational improvements. Experience in Lloyd’s market technical accounting and bordereaux operations is essential along with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. This key role will involve maintaining finance processes and controls for an expanding UK market, with opportunities for role growth as the business develops.
The role will report directly to the Head of Finance – UK.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities:
Oversee the end‑to‑end premiums and claims bordereaux process, ensuring validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting at all stages.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance treaty agreements is essential, including the accurate review and entry of reinsurance premium and claims data into underwriting systems.
• Ability to problem-solve, reconcile accounts, bordereaux, and declarations. Identify anomalies in bordereaux and amend where necessary
• Act as the subject matter expert and primary liaison for bordereaux matters, addressing queries and escalating issues where necessary.
• Maintain and operate the underwriting validation bordereaux system, with a strong understanding of validation controls and data quality requirements.
• Proactively review accounts receivable balances, liaising with brokers to support timely settlement.
• Maintain an efficient documentation filing system. Ensure that files are appropriately processed and quality control checks are performed on all documentation.
• Liaise with internal Finance teams, brokers, and service providers on reinsurance‑related queries and data issues.
• Design and implement effective processes, developing scalable workflows, controls, and automation to improve efficiency and data quality
• Ensure standard operating procedures for bordereaux management are kept up to date
• Support regulatory, audit, and management reporting requests as required (e.g. syndicate, reinsurance, or Solvency II–related data).
• Actively monitor and track KPIs, including reporting timelines, collections, and data quality improvements.
• Ensure new insurance agreements are set up within internal underwriting systems in a timely fashion
• Support the quarter-end close process, including preparation of reconciliations and supporting schedules for Finance.
• Carry out ad hoc tasks as required by the line manager.
General Requirements
• Knowledge of Lloyd’s and London market operations
• Experience in booking (re)insurance contracts
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in bordereaux processing/operations is essential
• Strong attention to detail, proven analytical skills and technical expertise in bordereaux management
• Ability to develop standard processes for any recurring tasks
• Understanding of Lloyd’s Xchanging system, IRIS or SICS DXC systems would be an advantage
• Innovative mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage tasks, prioritise workload, and adapt to changing priorities with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
