Recruitment Consultant (100% remote, full-time contract) Full Time

Role Purpose

The Student Recruitment Consultant will manage prospective student enquiries from first contact through to enrolment. This is a consultative recruitment role with no cold-calling. The focus is on advising warm leads, assessing suitability, conducting interviews, and supporting suitable candidates through the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming student enquiries.
• Explain LSI’s courses, entry requirements, fees, study format, and admissions process.
• Understand each candidate’s background, career goals, motivations, and readiness for study.
• Advise candidates on suitable programmes in a clear, honest, and professional manner.
• Arrange and conduct interviews by video call or phone.
• Assess candidate suitability, including academic background, professional experience, communication skills, motivation, and likely fit.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, interviews, follow-ups, applications, offers, and enrolments.
• Follow up consistently with candidates at each stage of the recruitment pipeline.
• Work with academic and admissions colleagues to support offer decisions and final enrolments.
• Help improve recruitment scripts, email templates, candidate workflows, and admissions processes.
• Meet agreed activity, conversion, and enrolment targets while maintaining high admission standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in recruitment, admissions, sales consultation, account management, or another candidate-facing advisory role.
• Strong interviewing, screening, and candidate assessment skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Confident communicator by phone, video call, and email.
• Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple candidates at different stages.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, email, video conferencing, and online forms.
• Able to work independently from home with minimal supervision.

Desirable Experience (optional)

• Experience in recruitment agencies, especially candidate-side recruitment.
• Experience working with international or mid-career professional candidates.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, education, psychology, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience in student recruitment, university admissions, professional education, or executive education.

The ideal candidate is consultative, organised, persistent, commercially aware, and ethical. They enjoy speaking with candidates, asking good questions, making sensible suitability judgements, and following up without sounding like a pushy estate agent.
