It requires curiosity, credibility, and the confidence to challenge and rethink how things have always been done.In return, you will have the opportunity to shape a system that genuinely works better for children, young people, and families; and leaves a lasting legacy.About the Role:You are a delivery-focused project manager who understands how complex local systems actually work.You have led programmes within a local authority or across public sector partners and you know the reality of working across children’s social care, education, health, and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. You are comfortable operating at pace, translating national reform into practical delivery on the ground.A track record of delivering complex transformation or improvement programmes within a local authority or multi-agency settingStrong planning discipline, with the ability to turn strategy into clear, deliverable actions.Confidence working with senior leaders, partners, and frontline teams; influencing outcomes, not just reporting progressAbility to stay grounded in practice; you understand how decisions land for families and practitionersYou will be central to delivering Families First locally, shaping how partners work together and ensuring change translates into better outcomes for children and families.You will have relevant project/programme management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, Agile certification) or equivalent experience.You will join a collaborative team focused on early intervention, with hybrid working, professional development, and the chance to improve outcomes for families.What you’ll do: Lead planning and delivery across cross cutting projects Maintain programme governance, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and delivery plans Ensure benefits, savings, and outcomes are tracked and escalated appropriately Lead assurance reporting to SLT/CSMT/Spending Control Panel Report to boards and senior leaders with clear, actionable information Protect senior leadership capacity for strategic decision‑making Work across Children’s Services, Education, Health and the voluntary sector How to Apply:To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence how you meet the shortlisting criteria on the personal specification marked “A” for application :JD and Person SpecificationWe operate an anonymised application process, so be sure to remove personal details when uploading your CV or personal statement.Advert closing date: 11:59pm on Sunday, 24 th of MayPlease click here to view: Lambeth Staff BenefitsSuccessful candidates will be asked to apply for a Basic Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
