Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards.
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and handling transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop area, including kitchen and dining spaces.
• Support with stock replenishment, rotating stock to ensure freshness and availability.
• Upsell menu items or products to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
• Follow food safety regulations diligently, adhering to hygiene standards at all times.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery.
• Assist in basic cooking or culinary tasks as required, supporting the kitchen team when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
