Personal Assistant Support Worker Full Time

We’re looking for a kind, reliable and understanding SEN PA/support worker for our 12-year-old son in Wakefield.This is a part-time role supporting a bright, funny child with AUDHD and demand avoidance who benefits from patience, flexibility and someone who can build trust at his pace. Support would mainly involve helping him access activities in the community, build confidence and enjoy positive experiences outside the home.We feel he would benefit from someone able to build rapport through shared interests (biking, gaming, exploring!) and community activities. Experience supporting neurodivergent boys of a similar age would be especially valued.We’re looking for someone who is:• Calm, caring and non-judgemental• Experienced with SEN/ND children (preferred but not essential if the right attitude is there)• Flexible and able to follow his lead• Able to make activities feel safe and enjoyable rather than pressuredHours are part time and flexible.Please note this is a council-funded role, so the hourly rate is limited by direct payment funding.
