These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.About The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Performance and Data Analyst to produce high quality analytical insight that underpins the commissioning of projects and programmes across Children’s Services.You will be responsible for analysing large and complex datasets and producing insightful narrative to support service needs assessments, gap analysis, progress reporting and future planning. The role will require you to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that performance monitoring arrangements meet business needs and support effective commissioning decisions.As well as strong technical data skills, you will be able to translate data into meaningful insight through clear visualisations and compelling written narrative. You will play a key role in bringing data to life, telling the story behind the numbers and shaping evidence based planning and service improvement. Strong written English language skills are therefore essential for this role.Key Responsibilities Monitor, analyse, and report on all Children’s Strategic Commissioning performance indicators Produce and maintain datasets to support service design, impact assessment, statutory requirements, and commissioning activity Undertake statistical analysis and modelling, including trend analysis and projections, to inform needs assessments, policy development, commissioning, and service planning Collect, quality assure, and disseminate data as required by the service Monitor the performance of all strategically commissioned children’s services, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of contractual and statutory statistical returns Write clear, concise, and evidence based briefings and reports relating to service delivery and performance Provide high quality performance information and needs analysis to support managers and partners in strategic planning and commissioning decisions Analyse numerical data, draw robust conclusions, and present findings to a range of audiences, including service managers and regulatory inspection teams Support the administration and development of databases and performance systems within the Children’s Strategic Commissioning portfolioAbout The TeamYou will report to the Performance Data Manager within the Commissioning and Programmes team in Children’s Services. The team drives strategic thinking, collaborative working, and performance management across all commissioning activity.Operating with a “One Children’s Commissioning” approach, the team works closely with external partners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services that provide best value.
