ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for an Operations Lead / Area Lead to help drive day-to-day excellence across our stores. This role is ideal for someone with solid café, coffee shop, QSR, or retail F&B experience who is ready to move from store-level execution into a broader leadership role.

You will work closely with founders and key team members to improve store performance, strengthen team discipline, ensure consistent customer experience, and help build the systems needed for a growing multi-branch business. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow into a bigger operations leadership position over time.

Key Responsibilities1) Store Operations Execution

• Oversee daily operations of assigned stores and ensure smooth opening, shift, and closing execution.
• Conduct regular branch visits to check service flow, product quality, cleanliness, speed, and store readiness.
• Ensure all stores follow company SOPs, operational standards, and customer service expectations.
• Identify operational gaps and solve issues quickly on the ground.

2) Team Leadership and Coaching

• Support, coach, and develop store supervisors, branch leads, baristas, and frontline staff.
• Help strengthen accountability, discipline, and consistency across teams.
• Assist in onboarding and training new hires on store operations, standards, and service culture.
• Give regular feedback to branch teams and escalate major people concerns when needed.

3) Sales and Performance Management

• Help stores achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Monitor key branch performance metrics, including sales, labor productivity, wastage, customer experience, and compliance.
• Review store performance with branch leaders and recommend action plans for improvement.
• Support execution of local store initiatives that can improve transactions, average order value, and repeat customer visits.

4) Inventory, Cost, and Compliance Control

• Monitor inventory levels, ordering discipline, stock movement, wastage, and product availability.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, petty cash, deposits, sales reports, and store fund controls.
• Help enforce food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Ensure stores maintain complete and updated operational records and required store documents.

5) Systems and Process Improvement

• Help build and improve operating systems, checklists, audit tools, and reporting structures.
• Recommend practical process improvements as the business grows.
• Coordinate with support teams, including finance, HR, marketing, purchasing, and supply, to ensure stores are well-supported.
• Submit accurate and timely reports with clear action points.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, HRM, Entrepreneurship, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• At least 2–4 years of experience in café, coffee shop, QSR, restaurant, or retail F&B operations.
• Experience as a Store Supervisor, Shift Leader, Assistant Store Manager, Café Supervisor, or similar role is highly preferred.
• Experience handling multiple stores is a plus, but not required.
• Preferably with experience in a café or coffee business.
• Strong understanding of store operations, customer service, people handling, and inventory discipline.
• Comfortable doing fieldwork and regular store visits.
• Organized, proactive, and able to balance hands-on execution with reporting and follow-through.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
