You will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team delivering recovery orientated alcohol and drug intervention services.Our NMP’s are integral members of our multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams, delivering recovery orientated alcohol and drug intervention services. Offering care for presenting clients, prescribing and/or making amendments to prescriptions of opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications, they take a lead role in developing the prescribing clinic, acting as a point of contact for other workers and partner agencies around prescribing issues.WhereChange Grow Live St Luke’s service Dagenham Road, Dagenham, RM10 7UPHours Full Time, 37.5 per weekSalary £47,792.23 – £53,329.99 Dependent on experience (Based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)Allowance Outer London Weighting (£2,195.72)Contract PermanentPlease note Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 per week. The RoleUnder the guidance of the Assistant Medical Director, and the Service’s Medical Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role as part of a diverse team delivering clinical recovery-oriented alcohol and drug intervention services.Your responsibilities will includeAssess, diagnose, plan; implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for those accessing clinical treatment.Clinically assess service user needs and plan clinical care accordingly.Identify and assess suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification as appropriate.Pro-actively review and manage clinical treatment plans of the service userInitiating and adjusting prescriptions for opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications.Taking the lead in developing the prescribing clinic, serving as a point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.About youQualified Non-Medical Prescriber At least one year’s relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment. Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports, as necessary. Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing. Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to demonstrate easy movement between services, if necessaryWhat we will give to you25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
