Leading Investment Management client is seeking Network & Security Engineer who can design, implement, and operate the network and security estate, who brings experience, drive, enthusiasm, and a passion for technology. This is for a 6-month contract working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home + on callThe primary responsibility will be to design, implement and operate the network and security environment in accordance with the team’s policies, processes and procedures.As a technical member of the Network & Security team, the main areas of focus will be: Operate within an Agile environment. Provide technical leadership within a collaborative team. Work in the team to design, implement and operate secure networking capabilities. Proactively maintain the network and security hardware, applications, and services. Respond to incidents, requests and troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues. Implement planned Change across all the devices and services under the management of the team. Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during Major Incidents as required. High degree of documentation skills, for creating and maintaining design and operational documentation, Change documentation, Runbooks, Test plans and any other operational documentation as required. Management of Control, Audit and Risk routines. Qualifications/RequirementsALL applicants must bringSignificant experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama in a global environment. Hold a PCNSE or PCCSE certification or equivalent in experience. Hold Cisco CCNP or equivalent in experience. High level of understanding and experience with OSPF and BGP. Azure experience, and hold the Azure Network Engineer (AZ-700) certification or equivalent in experience Micro-segmentation principles and technologies. Zero Trust principles. Experience with Wireshark or other packet capture tools to analyze traffic. Experience with DDoS mitigation services. Experience with LogicMonitor or similar tools. Experience of Cisco ISE and/or other NAC solutions. Experience with multiple connectivity technologies including:- DIA, MPLS and DWDM Experience of Cisco and Meraki wireless services. The Network & Security Engineer will have general working expertise of: Strong knowledge of all round infrastructure technologies Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to respond to shifting priorities, and to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication and presentation skills Candidate must be passionate about innovation and enjoy leading change. Candidate must be passionate in creating a collaborative, caring and safe environment for all teammates to succeed. Network Automation experience advantageous. Participate in the team on-call rota as required Preference will be given to anyone with Investment Banking/Asset Management or other financial services background
