Job OverviewAn exciting 12month secondment opportunity has arisen in EPUT and we are in the position to recruit a Matron -South West Urgent Care Pathway (HTT,MHLT, CRS) Crisis House & Sanctuaries.The successful candidate will be a competent practitioner with a proven record of leadership skills as a Band 7 nurse. The Matron is responsible for providing senior clinical leadership and advice within the Urgent Care Pathway. As a specialist practitioner the role requires the post holder to provide senior clinical leadership and day to day coordination of clinical practice to support the effective delivery of care across the Urgent Care Pathway.The post holder will be responsible for the management of a clinical area, providing leadership, supporting staff and working collaboratively with Consultants Psychiatrist, other grades of Doctors, Allied Health Professionals and Social work Practitioners to provide and deliver a high quality and safe care.Main duties of the job To lead and ensure collaborative working by co-ordinating and leading the support, referral and effective liaison with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in service user’s support in order to deliver the crisis support package working as part of the urgent care pathway, including community and primary care. To ensure safe Clinical Practice takes place and maintained to Care Quality Commission standards at all times and in line with the NHS Constitution. To work in conjunction with the whole crisis care pathway, to ensure that patients are supported in the most appropriate clinical practice environment from a Multi-disciplinary perspective To manage and deliver effective and safe services which support the key elements of Clinical/Practice governance.
