Role Overview:
One of our clients, a global leader in the technology industry, is seeking a Library & Information Science Expert to support innovative projects and digital resource strategies. This contractor role offers the chance to apply your deep knowledge of library science to help shape the future of information management from anywhere in the world. As a Library & Information Science Expert, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating information management policies, metadata standards, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and evaluate information management policies, metadata standards, and best practices to support digital resource management
• Apply knowledge of cataloging rules, library management systems, and digital repository software to support research and data analysis
• Provide technical documentation, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to support the development of information management strategies
• Conduct research and data analysis to stay up-to-date with emerging trends in information science, including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and open access initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support the development of digital resource management strategies and library management systems
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Information management and metadata standards expertise
• Knowledge of cataloging rules, library management systems, and digital repository software
• Research and data analysis skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Technical documentation, mentoring, and knowledge sharing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a remote environment
